What is it?
NSU (Non-specific urethritis) simply means inflammation of your urethra, the pipe in your penis that you urinate down. There can be different causes and some of these might be sexually transmitted. It might be passed on through unprotected anal and oral sex (both giving and receiving).
How can I prevent it?
Using condoms and plenty of water based lubricant will greatly reduce the risk of getting NSU.
How do I know if I have urethritis?
Men usually experience pain or discharge when urinating.
Is there treatment?
It is usually treated with the same antibiotic that is used to treat Chlamydia.
